Facebook isn't for therapy.
Anyone have that one friend on Facebook that never has anything good going on in their life? All of their statuses have someone responding the same way in a almost cookie cutter format. I understand that a lot of people post depresssing, repeating statuses normally to get attention. But why on a social networking site? It's like people begin to judge their friends on whoever cheers them up the most. Another thing i've never heard someone talk about their problems in the manner people do it on Facebook. They always play it out and dramatize it to make it look like their issues trump your own. Why do people turn to Facebook for therapy instead of maybe facing the issue and not hoping for it to just disappear.

its easier to post stuff on the internet and wait for the sympathy to come flooding in than it is to actually deal with it.
ReplyDeletePeople do that? I'm glad none of my FB friends bother me with that.
ReplyDeleteMeh I never post anything like that on Facebook despite dealing with a lot of issues, I do know someone who does that though.
ReplyDeleteGotta love those people. Best thing is when they also "like" their own statuses lol
ReplyDelete+followed ;)
Haha, so true! People are too depressed now-a-day :).
ReplyDeleteThat's a universal truth, just like gravity. And I don't understand that people either
ReplyDeleteSometimes you could find really funny statuses on Facebook
ReplyDeleteI only opened a FB account to see my girlfriend's pictures. I'm very picky concerning who I add, so this doesn't really happen to me, fortunately.
ReplyDeletepeople like the veil of the internet, not actually being in front of people, so anything can be said, with no immediate repercussions. What annoys me are people who post extremely vauge statuses that only they can make sense of, and of course, people fishing for comments, who have 10,000 pictures of themselves.
ReplyDeleteI delete those people.
ReplyDeletebah, the situation in Spain with Tuenti(similar to facebook but only Spanish allowed) is the same, lots and lots of photos and selfish...boring
ReplyDeletePD: nice blog! following you
I rarely see depressing statuses
ReplyDeleteI find too many people I know have emotionally unstable statuses.
ReplyDeletei know one or two people like that, too. Somehow i think they are begging for others to comment and get their baaaaw- from them
ReplyDeleteI never see anything depressing, unless it was actually deserving of being such, like old family dog died or something
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!
